Housing & Food Insecurities for Families Topic of Women to Women Spring Forum

BLOOMINGTON, IL – A public forum about barriers and challenges faced by local working families will be hosted by the Women to Women Giving Circle Tuesday, April 25, at the ISU Alumni Center, 1101 N. Main St., Normal. The forum is free and open to the public.

“Housing and Food Insecurities for Families” will be the topic of this event which begins at 4:30 p.m. and will end at 6 p.m.

Panelists will be:

  • Erin Duncan of Prairie State Legal Services
  • Cecelia Long of Prairie State Legal Services and Dreams Are Possible
  • Claye Vogelsang from Unit 5 Schools

Carol Weisheit, regional council manager for Region 17 for Birth to Five Illinois, will kick off the forum with a wrap-up of the Fall Forum, which focused on “Working Families: Barriers & Challenges – Childcare and Transportation.”

Diane Zosky, chair of Department of Educational Administration and Foundations at Illinois State University, will moderate the discussion. A question and answer session will follow the panel discussion.
