Community Grants

Illinois Prairie Community Foundation offers grant opportunities to area nonprofit organizations providing community services in a wide variety of areas including arts and culture, education, music education, environment, health and wellness, youth, women and girls, and Jewish life and education.

We have six grant categories in two grant cycles - Spring and Fall.

Spring

  • General Grants - Focus on education, health and wellness, and youth
  • Mirza/Arts & Culture Grants - Focus on arts and culture, and music education
  • David and Kay Williams Music Education Grant - Focus on providing creative music experiences for K-12 students (use the Mirza/Arts & Culture Grant application to apply)
  • Sol Shulman Grants - Focus on Jewish education and life

Fall

  • Women to Women Giving Circle Grants - Focus on women and girls
  • Youth Engaged in Philanthropy Grants - Focus on youth
  • Environment & Nature Grants - Focus on environment and nature

IPCF's competitive grants are made possible by gifts from donors to the Community Foundation’s Annual Campaign, the Jerome Mirza Arts and Culture Fund, the Women to Women Giving Circle, the Youth Engaged in Philanthropy Fund, the Environment & Nature Fund, and distributions from the following endowment funds: IPCF Arts & Culture Endowed Fund, IPCF Communityworks Fund, IPCF Green Fund, Ruth Carey Endowed Education Fund, Dean and Avis Hilfinger Fund for the Performing Arts, Ives Family Foundation Youth Endowment Fund, Sol Shulman Jewish Education and Life Fund, Laura Sullivan Arts and Culture Endowed Fund, Laura Sullivan Health and Wellness Endowed Fund, and David and Kay Williams Music Education Endowment; and the Deanna Frautschi and Alan Bedell Donor Advised Fund.

Illinois Prairie Community Foundation grants are open to all organizations within the IPCF geographic  area (McLean, Livingston, Logan and  DeWitt counties, and closely adjacent areas in Tazewell, Woodford, LaSalle, Ford and Piatt counties) that meet the general criteria.
