Meyer Announces Plans to Retire

Executive Director Greg Meyer has announced his intent to retire in December 2024 after a decade of leading Illinois Prairie Community Foundation.

“We are grateful for all that Greg has done for the Foundation during his 10 years in the role,” said Laura Kowalczyk, Chair of the IPCF Board of Directors. “The Foundation has grown tremendously under his leadership.”

Meyer came to IPCF in April 2014 after developing the business of Environmental Solutions Group and a nearly three-decade career with Carlson Marketing.

Throughout his career with IPCF, Meyer has established and maintained strong relationships as well as expanding the scope of funds and number of investment options available to nonprofit organizations and individuals within the community.

A search committee will be appointed soon to develop a timeline, create a process for hiring and other details related to the search. “The goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible, without disruption in service for the community foundation,” said Kowalczyk. Meyer’s leadership leaves the Foundation in a strong position for the future.
