Illinois Prairie Community Foundation Annual Campaign

Gifts to the IPCF Annual Campaign help fund General Grants awarded annually to quality programs in the fields of education, health and wellness, and youth, along with distributions from several endowments.

Each February, nonprofit organizations have the opportunity to apply for General Grants. When the application window closes, a grants committee made up of individuals who are knowledgeable in the three focus areas review the applications and meet to make funding recommendations. These recommendations are presented to IPCF's board of directors who are given the opportunity to discuss them and ask questions of the grants committee chair. Once the board has approved the recommendations, the grantees sign grant agreements confirming that they will spend the money as outlined in the application and will provide a final report and final budget for review by the committee.

These General Grants provide nonprofits the opportunity to try new programs that hold promise or expand existing programs, actions that are not usually possible through allocations in the organization's annual budget. Click here to see the most recent General Grant awards.

The Annual Campaign traditionally runs in the fall through January 15, but you may make a gift at any time by clicking on the button above.
