REMaRAG: ROTARIANS ELIMINATING MALARIA, A ROTARIAN ACTION GROUP
The primary purpose of the REMaRAG (Rotarians Eliminating Malaria, a Rotarian Action Group) Fund shall be to support the projects of REMaRAG, Rotarians Eliminating Malaria, a Rotarian Action Group, aka Rotarian Action Group on Malaria - RAM USA, to eliminate malaria globally, particularly but not solely in support of Rotarians Eliminating Malaria, a Rotarian Action Group, REMaRAG, a duly constituted Rotarian Action Group or “RAG” established at The Rotary Foundation.
RAM is the historical name of Rotarians global malaria control efforts dating from the early 1990s, much of which originated in Bloomington-Normal and with support of local Rotary Club of Normal and Rotary District 6490, pioneers in Rotarians and global efforts to control malaria. We honor the Rotary connections, contributions and roles in founding the many groups such as the Alliance for Malaria Prevention that have scaled malaria control efforts up globally with huge effectiveness and impact. Malaria is down over 70 percent. REMaRAG/RAM seeks to ACCELERATE the progress toward full elimination. This IPCF REMaRAG/RAM USA account serves as a critical conduit for funds and efforts.
