M.J. RHYMER FAMILY DRY GROVE NATURE PRESERVE ENDOWMENT
The M.J. Rhymer Family Dry Grove Nature Preserve, located at 3210 West Northtown Road in Normal, Illinois, was created when Ione Rhymer gifted her 15-acre homestead to Dry Grove Township in 2006. The Preserve's mission is to provide an active educational center and natural areas where visitors can experience and learn about the environment of rural McLean County, both past and present. Among its many features are five acres of prairie grasses, a pond and wetlands, wildflowers and native plants, Songbird Grove, and a Children & Elders Forest grove.
