FINANCIAL HEALTH

The board members of Illinois Prairie Community Foundation take their role as stewards of the Community Foundation’s funds seriously. We are proud of our success in striking a balance between the desire to increase our assets while also addressing the needs of the community through grants.

As our funds grow, so does our ability to respond to community needs. In 2018, Illinois Prairie Community Foundation has awarded 83 grants worth $194,079 to nonprofit organizations in our community. Since 2010, we have granted $1,176,896 – or an average of $130,766 per year for the past 9 years. We have made more than 442 grants in that 9-year period.
