Early Childhood Education, Intervention Topic of Women’s Spring Forum

A panel of local educators and social service experts will discuss what early childhood intervention is and why it is important.

Panelists are:

  • Karen Bruning, Executive Director of Heartland Head Start, Bloomington
  • Danel Harr, Principal of Sarah Raymond School of Early Education (District 87 Schools)
  • Ginger Payne, Special Education Administrator for Tri-County Special Education Association
  • Kris Pennington, Early Learning Program Coordinator for Unit 5 Schools
  • Dianne Schultz, CEO of The Baby Fold, Normal

Illinois State University students Lauren Neitzel and Aly Frantzen will present the results from their recent research on early childhood education and intervention as part of coursework for Cynthia Edmonds-Cady, Associate Professor of Social Work at ISU.

A question and answer session will follow the panel discussion.

About the Women to Women Giving Circle

Women to Women is a program and funding arm administered by Illinois Prairie Community Foundation, working to expand philanthropy among women in McLean, DeWitt, Livingston and Logan counties. Its goals are to support programs that increase life skills, encourage healthy development and educate local women and children, to encourage women’s philanthropy and to educate the community at large about issues affecting women and children. Since its founding in 2009, Women to Women has given more than $270,818 in funding to local organizations for local needs.
